Your tasks

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the acquiring business unit
  • Identify growth opportunities and create plans to expand the merchant services portfolio
  • Ensure alignment of the acquiring strategy with the overall business objectives of the bank
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and professionals in the merchant services department
  • Develop partnerships and alliances with industry stakeholders, including payment processors, ISOs, and technology providers
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve the onboarding, servicing, and retention of merchants
  • Ensure effective management of transaction processing and support services
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies
  • Manage the budget for the acquiring business unit, including revenue forecasting and cost control

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in merchant services, payment processing, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of acquiring bank operations, merchant onboarding, and risk management
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using payment processing systems and related software
  • Very good German and English skills (level C1/C2)
